Nike shoes are available in many styles and colors. They are sports athletes and everyday people who just want to make fashion shows. Nike shoes are only sold in a shoe store. The famous Nike swoosh logo is certainly one of the most respected company logos and is displayed all over the world.

The original swoosh logo was originally designed in 1971 by a graduate student at Portland State University. Carolyn Davidson paid $ 35 for the famous design, but some sources say Nike co-founder Phil Knight later bought the diamond ring with the Nike logo and Nike inventory after leaving the company in 1983. It is interesting to note that Knight was originally not overwhelmed by Davidson work. She said, "I do not like it, but it will grow to me."

Nike currently employs over 30,000 people in the world and, apart from shoes, manufactures other sportswear and accessories. Recently, the company has conducted a thorough investigation of concerns about human rights and bad working conditions. It is estimated that the company's net revenue in 2008 was about $ 1.9 billion. The name Nike comes from the Greek goddess of victory and, like many other successful companies, had a humble start. Philip Knight was the Oregon University athlete and joined Bill Bowerman in 1964 to release shoes from their car at field meetings. At that time they called themselves Blue Ribbon Sport.

Originally, the duo sold the shoes developed by the Japanese manufacturers but terminated the relationship with the company in 1971. In 1971 they developed their own football chain called Nike. Soon he introduced several lines. In 1978, they left the Blue Ribbon Sports name, and by 1980, 50% of the shoes sold in the United States were wearing the Nike brand. Nike continues to be based in Oregon, and currently has several subsidiaries, including Umbro and Converse. At one time, Nike also owned Bauer Hockey and Starter.
